We are at the first Christmas party. Lots of yummy stuff here.
I finally finished my Parent’s painting just in time for Christmas. I have been doing it and had no special inspiration for it in a while. I just got a few ideas after going to the art store a while back and have finally put my self in motion to complete it. I am giving it to them tomorrow.

So we were about to start putting the labels on all the bottles this evening in preparation for holiday gifting, however we got cut short. I was in the middle of sticking a few labels on and found that more and more of the bottles had bits floating in them that were not there a month or so ago. I seemed like I was putting a lot of bottles aside because I was not satisfied giving them away, so we opened on and took a taste. Looks like the wine and a second ferment in the bottle. We did have a couple bottles in October but it was not that bad at that time. I knew something was a little off the first time I tried it but chalked it up to my imagination. It was supposed to be off dry/semi dry but currently it is a lot more dry than I think it should be, plus there are some bubbles in the wine now and it is a bit harsh.
The wine label was so beautiful though. Duane was so kind to help me with that part of the project. I am sorry to say that my payment to him was suppose to be in Wine. I guess I will need to find some good elsewhere wine. Kung Fu Girl is good. I am attaching a picture as an example of what I was SUPPOSED to be distributing. /sadface

Looks like the fix I put in last night on the router seemed to work. I will try it a bunch more this evening and let you know how it is going.
We had visitors over the weekend. Was really nice to have some fun people over. We all made the decision to have dinner at our house instead of going out to eat. Everyone chipped in for the meat and we had a delicious prime rib that Todd cooked. It was soooo good.
They spent a lot of the time playing D&D. Was interesting to listen to at times.
Overall we had a great time and from what I hear we may be doing it on a monthly basis. That would be cool too, however I doubt we will be doing a prime rib each time lol

So… Thanks to Todd (and Terry for the use of her discount) I have my new 13″ Macbook Pro. It is such a nice machine. The only thing I have a problem with right now is the wireless. I took it out of the box and started using it. I started to have a problem with the wireless connection dropping off. It would look like the connection was still there but when you went to use the internet it was not there at all. The signal strength meter was still at full. If you turned wireless off and then back on you would then regain connection. It would happen on both the Linksys router and the D-Link router here at home. I can’t really fully remember but I don’t think it was happening to me when we went over to Jen and Duane’s house on Sunday. We have our wireless access points set up with WPA Personal. Duane has his set up with WEP I believe.
I set up an appointment to go to the Apple store and see one of the geniuses. So we went there this evening. They ended up swapping the MacBook out for a new one. I brought it home and without ANY updates at all it started doing it again. My first course of action was to change the wireless g router the D-Link to automatically pick a channel instead of the static channel it was on now. I have been connected for a lot longer than I would normally be. I am going to copy this text though just to be sure as I wont know if the connection will still be good until I try to post.
If the problem continues I will post more about what I have done.
So. Its been quite some time since I have blogged on my site. Truly sorry of course. As some of you are aware I was laid off in July, however I was offered a temporary position within the company’s help desk. That was a long time ago. It was supposed to be until October. We’re in October but I still don’t really know when it ends. It’s not a bad job. In fact it is a pretty good job, I just hate waking up in the morning. And THIS job requires me to be on time.
We will be going to Disney World this fall during Thanksgiving week. I can’t wait. We have about a week there and it should be both fun and relaxing, not sure what the fun/relaxation ratio will be yet though.
I think I am going to be sorry tomorrow morning when I have to get up at quarter after 5. I volunteered to cover the command center at 6am. Good thing is that I only have to stay until 10. Now, if I can only fall asleep.
Todd and I and I brought Aidan to King Richard’s Faire two weeks ago. He had so much fun. He got to ride a pony, this crazy swing with Jen and Thomas and also see some really big Tigers and Ligers. We had some people with us too Jason, Shawn, Pauline, Kyle, Jen, Duane and Thomas.
